About Emma Greever, M.D.
My professional foundation in Emergency Medicine reflects a sustained commitment to clinical excellence and academic engagement. I am currently an Assistant Attending Physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian–91³ÉÈ˵¼º½/LowerManhattan Hospital. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Virginia, earning dual degrees in Biology and Psychology, and received my medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. I recently completed my residency in Emergency Medicine at theMcGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University in Chicago.
My residency training was centered at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, a high-volume tertiary care and Level I trauma center, with additional clinical experiences at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, Gary Methodist Hospital, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, and the trauma unit at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. These diverse environments provided comprehensive exposure to both adult and pediatric emergencies across a broad spectrum of acuity. These experiences taught me not only clinical efficiency, but also the importance of leadership, adaptability, and teamwork in high-pressure environments. As a senior resident, I had the opportunity to supervise junior residents and mid-level providers, contribute to department flow, and engage in bedside teaching.
In addition to my clinical training, I developed a strong interest in medical education and global health. I served as an instructor for the Foundations Curriculum for incoming interns and
contributed to medical student skills training and bedside teaching. I completed the GlobalHealth Clinical Scholars program, which emphasizes the delivery of ethical, systems-based care in resource-limited settings, and furthered my training through the Humanitarian Response to Conflict and Disaster course at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Through high-acuity clinical experiences, supervisory roles, and a commitment to medical education, I have built a strong foundation as both a clinician and educator. As an Assistant Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian/91³ÉÈ˵¼º½–Lower Manhattan Hospital, I am committed to contributing to a department that values academic excellence and community impact, through evidence-based clinical care and ongoing involvement in medical education.
